Truth and Beauty

Marco Mandrino

We are spectators of a singular age in which the beings who populate the planet are overwhelmed by a materialist, globalised ideology. They are living through a deep existential crisis that has made them incapable of seeing or perceiving anything beyond their own mind/body machine.

These strange beings rush about accumulating mostly useless objects; they are unwittingly blinded by sheer utilitarianism; they constantly need to be “seen” by others, mostly making themselves ridiculous, convinced that this can somehow fill the existential void caused by the total forgetting of the self.

I remind the dismayed observers of this desolate spectacle that our purpose here is to seek the truth and to create Beauty. I remind them that virtuous action is always authentic (true), expresses beauty, is not directed towards a goal but manifests spontaneously from the deepest and most intimate essence.
