An experience to share

Marco Mandrino

NEWHVN, formerly known as A Burial at Sea, manage to evoke the atmosphere of a gloomy day suddenly lit up by the rays of a joyful sun. Listening to their music feels like being at a farewell party for a friend who has passed away, where the splendour of a Proustian memory makes you laugh and cry at the same time.

Of course I can't know what their live show here with us on Saturday 30 May will be like, but for me it is one of the most eagerly awaited events. Personally, it will be like having one of your favourite bands playing in your own back garden.

Theirs is a music that tastes of sea salt, of tears dried by the wind and of that strange, beautiful euphoria you only feel when you are desperately alive.

We hope to see you in great numbers, to share a journey through stormy seas and inaccessible cliffs, shaken by a joyful melancholy.
