The Philosophy of the Absolute

Marco Mandrino

Relativism applied to philosophy produces mental fluff, not alternative horizons. We might call this the “small philosophy”, whereas the authentic kind, the “Great philosophy”, seeks the absolute.

While the “small philosophy” writhes among mental sophisms, the “Great philosophy” seeks the absolute through direct experience and contemplation.

The “small philosophy”, kneeling before reason, will never be able to understand what is truly authentic. The so-called modern philosophers are lost among the shadows of Plato’s cave, with no chance of finding a way out.

If there are ever to be guides for a refounding of the human, they can only be priests and priestesses of the “Great philosophy”.
