Stars instead of comfort
Marco Mandrino

I read a text that distinguishes travelling from holidaying by how much you stay, or don't stay, within your "comfort zone".
These days I am certainly in uncomfortable situations. We wander between sea and mountains, the two of us living in two square metres, not each, of space that serves as kitchen, living room and bed. What's more, to make it all even more satisfying, we are only rarely at a campsite with electricity, and mostly in the middle of nowhere, where at night the temperature sometimes drops a lot and helps keep us alert in case of unwelcome visitors.
Yet all these relative hardships give an immense sense of satisfaction, and in the evening our restaurant has infinite space, dominated by the ancestral fire, beneath a vault full of tiny blue lights that get lost in a mysterious darkness🌌
