A book to understand Taoism

Askesis is a book that helps us understand Taoism and, through Taoism, the inevitability of the historical moment we are living through.

If perfection, as complexity theory also holds, lies at the edge of chaos, that is, in a space of perfect balance between Yin (Chaos) and Yang (Order), today we find ourselves instead in a twilight moment, in which an excess of Yang, of control, manifests itself through an exacerbated dystopianism, marked by a multitude of dehumanised humans, ever more like faulty artificial intelligences, incapable of any vital impulse.

Understanding the moment we are living through and its dynamics is, after all, the only way to treasure it and live an authentic life, in search of Beauty, just like a flower in search of the light of the sun.
